The number of millionaires in the Netherlands continues to rise and in January 2021, 4% of the country’s households were millionaires on paper at least, national statistics agency CBS said on Monday. The total – 317,000 – was then up 32,000 on the same period in 2020. The total assets include both property and mortgage debt. Millionaires had on average €1.6 million in assets while non-millionaires were worth an average of €75,000, the CBS said. Just 3% of the total millionaires had more than €10 million in assets.
